Bob and Darlene Donaher of John Gordon Construction have made a contribution of $25,000 to the "Our Hospital, Our Future" campaign.
"Our Hospital, Our Future" is the Foundation's fundraising campaign to build a new hospital. The campaign's goal is to raise $12 million of the projected costs of $59 million to redevelop the Cornwall Community Hospital. The remainder of the funds will come from municipal and provincial governments.
The Cornwall Community Hospital is the primary acute care facility for a region encompassing the Counties of Stormont, Dundas & Glengary, as well as the Mohawk community of Akwesasne. Last year, inpatient and day surgery cases numbered 15,000 and more than 100,000 emergency cases were handled. With a staff of 1,100, the Cornwall Community Hospital is the largest employer in Cornwall.

Cornwall Community Hospitals
We are very proud of the projects we have completed at both the Second Street site and the McConnell site of the Cornwall Community Hospital. Our jobs are made easier by the dedicated and professional staff at both locations.
Over the past year we have been asked to complete small projects and have been successful in tendering for other jobs. An example of some projects undertaken have been the renovation of the old Nun's Residence so as to allow the Engineering Department to relocate during the course of the McConnell site major renovation; the masonry repairs to the chimney stack at the Second Street site; renovations to the Admitting area at the McConnell site; installing an electrical conduit bank at the McConnell site; mold remediation at the Second Street site; installation of a Security Gaurds office at the McConnell site; renovations of numerous patient shower/bath rooms at both sites.

Another heritage project completed was an addition and renovation to a century farmhouse in North Lancaster, Ontario. We will be starting another restoration soon to the Avonbloom property west of Williamstown, Ontario. This house was built in 1864 and we will be renovating the back work shop into living space and also the exterior to match the original.

Our year is still not done as we have many projects left to do, some of which are as follows: the new Pizza Hut roof in Cornwall, Benson Auto Pak and Katrina's Restaurant.
Please note that because of our quality workmanship we are able to work with our suppliers, such as Garland Canada, Tremco Canada and Soprema, to offer our clients roofs with warranties ranging from ten years to thirty years.
